While I expected to meet people on this forum who had the 107 and its highs and lows in common, I really did not expect to actually "meet" someone and become friends. That is what happened. I answered a forum question about a year ago and the poster emailed me. We emailed a few times and then the phone calls started. We have talked regularly since. The gentleman had a 79 450 Sl that was mint in Kelowna BC. He just sold it recently and the car remains in Kelowna. How do I know its mint? Because I saw it with my own eyes last weekend when I accepted an invitation from him and his lovely wife to go for a visit. Great couple, great city, great visit. I only have one problem with them....they sold the 107 for a 2005 Mustang ragtop! On the upside, knowing that mine was missing from my 280,he retained the tool kit from his 450 and gave it to me as a gift. So, not only can you get good info and lively debates from this forum...you might even meet a good friend. Cheers, BELFAST
