Hi all! I'm looking for a "needs-nothing" driver 560sl.

What do you think of this beauty?

There is no such thing as a "needs nothing" car that's almost 20 years old. Stuff goes bad from sitting as well. If you are serious, spend a couple of hundred up front and have it professionally inspected by someone who knows old SLs. If it turns out this one truly is that "needs nothing" car - get ready to spend $25K or so on it. For $30K I'd expect it to be perfect but come on - read the description... "The condition makes us believe it has been garaged" "Our tech found no electrical problems" This is standard car-dealer talk. This is not an unbiased description based on a thorough inspection. Notice the part where it says "Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle"? Maybe it is perfect but the point is - if you're going to spend $25K+ on the car, do yourself a favor and have it independently inspected so you know what you're buying.

Or would you - Steve - possibly be the same person selling the car posing as an interested 3'd party on this board because it's just a tad suspicious that you'd share that beauty of yours with such nice links to the eBay auction. I mean, if you wanted it for yourself, why let a bunch of people on an SL forum know about it and risk having someone else outbid you? "Needs nothing driver beauty". Yup - sure sounds like you're more interested in selling the car than a potential buyer... Nice try.

Got to admit the car "Steve" is selling is sure beautiful. The 300 SE is also astonishing but so are the prices for both. Smile
