Last Friday all of a sudden my turn signals no longer work, yet when I turn on the hazard switch, all 4 corners blink. Is the turn signal on a different relay than the hazard, or could it be something else? All other lights and switches are functioning fine and no fuses are blown. I have a '85 380sl. Any advise is appreciated.

I recall that the blinkers are controlled through the hazard switch. Usually, turning the hazards on/off resets and reactivates the blinkers if they have stopped working. In your case, maybe cycling the hazard switch several times, or even removal and a squirt of contact cleaner, will help. If not, you may need a new hazard switch. Mike
I think my stalk is fine, at least that's what my wife tells me! But seriously, all other controls work. I'll check out my hazard switch and let y'all know what I find, thanks.

I had similar issues in my '84 380 - except I was losing my rear brake lights (which is nice). I had hit the hazard switch when cleaning the day before. Toggling the hazard back in forth got them back after a few trys.

My 88 560SL had the same issue where the turn signals would not work but the flashers when I set my car alarm. The mechanic knew quickly that I needed a new hazard switch. He replaced the switch and the turn signals worked perfectly.
I must have spoke too soon; was out at lunch and my 380 staled - it does this periodically when going downhill. Chalking it up to a fuel prob.
anyhow, hit the hazards and now my turn signals and brakes won't come back on. In the past I could toggle the hazard and get them back. not so much now.
Did anyone else have an issue with their brake lights? or just their turn signals?
