Does anyone remember a SL featured in movie? Here's three that I can think of:

1. "Car Wash" woman from Beverly Hills drove a 76 450slc

2. "Caddyshack" Lacy Underall had a yellow 450sl

3. "Zapped" The rich guy boyfriend had a red 380sl.

Any others?

Robert DiNero's wife drives one in that movie where he's a casino manager in Las Vegas ("Casino"?) and one is driven (brief appearance in a fancy shopping area) in the small affuent town in CT in a movie about some young Kennedy who was involved in a murder. The movie was based on a book by Mark Fuhrman of O.J. trial fame. Sorry...having "senior moments" with these movie names.

Beverly Hills Cop

Used Cars. The 107 gets blown up.

Dallas (although this is TV)

Heaps more here, there's actually a guy who has a database of MB's in the movies. My favourite MB "performance" was a 6.9 450 SEL in Ronin.

Yeah, Sharon Stone drove what must have been a white 450 SL in CASINO. Steve Martin drove a black 560 SL in LA STORY and for the 280 SL lovers, of course, that model is figured promininently in Audrey Hepburn's TWO FOR THE ROAD and Warren Beatty watches for Julie Christy's silver 280 SL in SHAMPOO. I also just saw a beautiful EURO SL107 in a James Bond movie -- I think it was the remake of THUNDERBALL with Sean Connery and Kim Basinger in the early '80's but can't remember the name. A villianess -- I want to say it was Barbara Bach but not sure -- has a snake her euro 107 SL and throws it in the window of someone she wants to kill. Car was a taupe color, I believe. I'll try to remember other films. Good post!

It's Julie Christie not Christy as I posted above, also a GREAT 450 SL is stripped down to the metal by Richard Gere in AMERICAN GIGILO (1980). I think it was black. He's looking for a wire or a bug on his car as I recall. The director for RONIN -- the late, great John Frankenheimer-- purposely set out to use old Mercedes sedans for the chases in that film.

Also, I barely remember that the faux William Powell-Myrna Loy television coupling of Robert Wagner and Stepahnie Powers in HART TO HART had a yellow 450 SL as their main driver. I think it was even in the credits. It's more fun to see the car from films and shows at the time the cars were in production, too. I remember when I saw Sharon Stone's 450 SL in CASINO a few years back, I noticed it didn't look very well maintained!

Hollow Man - Elizabeth Shue's character drives a biege 450SL or SLC - in the movie the car has a hard top. Just saw it tonight on the sci-fi channel. It is shown in a night shot, and it wasn't clear exactly what the model is, but it's definately a 107.

Richard Gere is also driving one in "Primal Fear", where he plays the lawyer defending the splendidly performing Ed Norton.

sfzeller, I think I recall that Gere was driving a 70's model CE coupe in silver not an SL in PRIMAL FEAR. Tho that's a very cool Mercedes, too, I was impressed that the movie's production team got it.

I saw a 107in an old film the other night... I think that it may have been a Bond movie, but am just not certain now.

NB: Just saw the "Forsaken" tonight. They really trashed that 450. Did you notice that it had 70's SL rims/hubcaps on the passenger's side and upgraded rims on the driver's side? Was weird.

CHARLEY VARRICK (1973) with Walter Matthau. Maynard Boyle's (John Vernon) secretary drove one. Could have been a '72.

The first SL i ever noticed was in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. I think it was black and white and probably the movie was made in the late fifties. Right then I thought I had to have one of those someday!! Just wish I could remember the name of the movie. LOL

I think I saw one parked in the garage at Rodney Dangerfield's house in "Back To School." It's kind of off in the distance, but I'll swear it's a 107.

RiskyBZ, Lee Majors' SL was my dream car -- and I now own a silver 74 450SL. Strangely enough, I still can't run 600mph or lift large trucks off helpless damsels though. Guess I'll just hafta settle for looking cool in my Mercedes.

In Tim Burton's Mars Attacks, Annette Bening (Barbara Land) drives a red 107. I want to say a 560SL for some reason. Can anyone correct me on that?????
